North Bay's United Way effort earns award

Walker's Van & Storage was presented with the "New Campaign" award on December 10th for their efforts this fall to raise funds for the United Way Nipissing District. Walker's was part of an inaugural effort in North Bay and helped the campaign rasie $101, 505, exceeding their inaugural campaign goal. Shawn Tooley of Walker's North Bay received the award at the campaign's touchdown event, joined by four other local businesses receiving special recognition. Shawn also received the "Initiative & Inspiration" award on Dec. 8th from the Walker's/Capital Group for his outstanding work with Walker's workplace campaign.

NORTH BAY - Shawn Tooley, dispatcher and fleet manager at our North Bay office, formally presents funds raised during Walker's campaign last month to Katina Matheson, Community Capacity Coordinator for the United Way Sudbury & Nipissing Districts.
